Wedding {wednesday}

So I have all my bridesmaids gifts chosen and bought, which can not be revealed because some of them read this blog, ha!

However, the groomsmen gifts are proving to be much more difficult. I have a few ideas, approved by Scott of course. Unfortunately I am taking the reigns on buying all gifts, because Scott likes to be more of a "Christmas Eve" shopper and I cannot handle that stress and craze during the wedding.

Below are a few ideas that I am debating on:

Mini bottles with cigars.

Mini bottles with personalized rocks glasses.

Stainless bottle cap opener key chains.

Whiskey stones, which would be cute with option number two combined!

Super hero cuff links, so cute!

There are many more options like bat man, super man and spider man too!

Other suggestions are welcome! Choosing groomsmen gifts are difficult, so I am open to any suggestions!

Southern Sippin' with a Pinky UP!

This past weekend my brother and nephew came into town. We went to The First Flush music and tea festival on Wadamalaw island with my cousin Ashley and friend Allison. We all had so much fun!

Sippin' sweet tea!
I acted like a kid with my nephew and went down the big slides!
The weather was perfect for listening to music outside, sippin' sweet tea and snacking on delicious food trucks!

Allison, my cousin Ashley, my brother Jerry and nephew Austin.
Ignore the bad quality picture taken from my iphone- opps.
The green dots are all the places that are producing tea farms. We were all standing and celebrating sweet tea in the only producing tea farm in the US. We took a tour and learned how tea is produced. I for one LOVE sweet tea!

The Auto Bahn food truck!
My all time FAVORITE food truck, The Auto Bahn. Their Bahn -Mi sandwiches are simply divine. I had no idea I liked Vietnamese food until I had eaten a Banh-Mi. Now I have explored all types of Vietnamese food from various authentic restaurants and it's soooo good! You should try some too!

Friday {favorites}

I found this online... and I believe I NEED it. It's by Kate Spade I am going to look for it while on vacation. This necklace may just find it's way around my neck during the wedding reception,
 I just love it so.

How adorable is this?

Since It is Spring, I have been looking into beach cruiser bikes. I found a cute one, at Walmart of all places. I try my best not to shop at Walmart, unless I absolutely have to, but I may end of buying this bike from there. The only thing it needs it a little dog basket for Bayla!
Super cute, just add a pup basket!

Last week I took a trip to Victoria Secret for some Pink loungewear and came across these Glossy tint lip sheens, and they're fabulous! It gives a hint of lip hue without being sticky, perfect. I bought two for $15, the Manic Pink and Boudoir Pink. Maniac pink is the one on the far left and Boudoir Pink is on the far right, both very different hues and very pretty!
Want the look of lipstick and creamy feel without leaving prints? Check these out.

Vacation {day three}

On the third day of vacation we drove to Miami and stayed at the Doral, a newly acquired resort by Donald Trump. The hotel was nice, but he is putting 200 million in renovations, so I want to stay there after the update! They did however have the most amazing Jacuzzi ever, along with the most expensive bottle of water... seriously!

Amazing cascade hot tub!!

A $35 bottle of water, how insane! And no we did not purchase it.

 A few months before our trip we saw and episode of "The Best Thing I've Ever Ate" on the Food Network, and Bobby Flay was raving about stone crabs from Joe's Stone Crab's in Miami. So Scott and I, never have eaten stone crabs, made that a stop on out trip. So mom, dad, Scott and myself devoured stone crabs.

Paper bibs... while in Rome?

Mom and dad, so cute!

We are at a fine dining white table cloth restaurant wearing paper bibs... typical tourist! ha!

Vacation {day two}

The second day of vacation we all went to Epcot. I cannot get enough of these Disney amusement parks! Epcot was having a flower festival so there were so many topiary's and gorgeous flowers everywhere. The rest is pretty picture heavy from here on... opps!!

Scott and I in Epcot!

The flowers are so pretty and vibrant.

Epcot! Always reminds me of a huge golf ball, ha!

WEDDING {wednesday}

FIVE.MONTHS.AWAY.
That is right, the wedding is less than five months away. Now that the vacation is over I can no longer say "eh, I will worry about that after vacation" because I can no longer put it off! We are in the stages of "little details" bleh... I am well aware that no one notices the "little details" except the bride, but in true fashion I am going to keep up with tradition and plan all those little overlooked details to the T. Duh.

The larger items I still have to do is the following:
-Pick the venue and plan the rehearsal dinner.
-Choose linens.
-Find an officiant. (my plan A fell through and now I am looking for a plan B... kind of a big deal, and open to suggestions...).
-Invitations
-Decide on a florist.

Oh the florist... I originally got a quote for $3200 for flowers that were IN season and not an absurd amount. Lets be honest, flower die after a week and I am not going to invest $3200 in that for ONE day. No thanks. So I need to get a few more quotes or I will end up doing these myself, and by myself, I mean all the fabulous ladies in my family who have green thumbs and are great at floral arrangements. Decisions Decisions.

So between the larger items and the little details, I still have a good bit to do... just breath.

Things DONE!
-wedding cake
-grooms cake
-grooms attire
-groomsmen attire
-wedding dress
-bridesmaids dresses
-venue
-caterer
-photo booth AHHH, so excited!!
-entertainment (not giving this away)
-alcohol
-flower arrangements chosen
-save the dates sent out!

Vacation {day one}

On our first day of vacation, Scott and I traveled to Orlando, when my parents met up with us. We love Orlando, Florida for all the amusement parks and good restaurants! We especially love the awesome hotels, and we stayed at Rosen's Shingle Creek. Ah-Mazing!
The hotel is HUGE, but we stay there to relax by the pool, it really is the perfect intro into our vacation. It took me a one full day then I finally turned off my phone and stopped checking my work emails, sometimes it's so hard for me to just let it all go and relax. But this vacation could not have came at a better time, between wedding planning, working, and STILL trying to decorate and make our new house a home, I needed to just disconnect from the world and reconnect with my fiance and relax together! And THAT is just what we did!

This is the Rosen Shingle Creek hotel, beautiful!

Look how amazing the grounds of the Rosen Shingle Creek hotel is! Pools, Jacuzzi's, paddle boats, kayaks and golf courses. I wanted to just move in!

I want a pergola and fountain just like these for our back yard, ha

After lying by the pool all afternoon we went out to Bahama Breeze. That drink was so good, I need one now!

Wedding {Wednesday}

So the SAVE THE DATES have been sent out! AHH!!!
Yay, one step closer to saying "I do"! I designed them myself, finally using that design degree that I am still paying for, whoohoo! And I LOVE how they turned out! Save the dates set the tone for the wedding so I really struggled with figuring out what I wanted them to say. I also wanted them to show our personalities. The whole idea for our wedding: party, casually elegant, glam... and most of all FUN!

I believe I nailed it! Shows our silly personalities and sets the tone of the wedding... fun, with a side of glam.
